Manifesto

The design targets Al Karama district, a highly populated area being invaded with the parasite of change and construction of buildings. The aim of the project is to bring back the sense of heritage and connect the city through different focal points while creating multiple social activities, green spaces and pedestrians walkways. This was portrayed through creating a waffle like structure hovering over the entire area while creating connections through the different focal points in the city. 

The structure was further developed through creating openings and different levels in order to have different accessibility and multiple focal points. Social activities like cycling lanes, skateboarding parks and green spaces were introduced. A shading element was also created in order to maintain the temperature and prevent direct sunlight into the area.
